It's assembled, but...
Calibration and all that craziness is driving us nuts.

WatchWatch
We have the parts, we have the tools.  We have the X, Y and Z axes jogging.  If this video (they did it in a weekend!) doesn’t motivate us to get it done, nothing will. :) (Via the MakerBot Blog)

The parts are in.
Thermistors are in, as are the Z stage belts. I laser cut the first attempt at a fabricated X-Y idler wheel last night.  Hole needs to be bigger, but otherwise looked good.  Hopefully these acrylic ones hold up better than the ones on the RepRap.

Where we stand.
The first (of many) 3D printing robots is so close we can taste it.  As always we got to a point and realized one (or several) parts we’re missing or didn’t order. The thermistor for the extruder head (ordered) Pulley for the X-Y stage, we’ll probably fabricate something, but if the Reprap was any indication, we may have trouble with our self-designed laser cut pulleys. First Post!
We are some folks at TechShop Durham. 25k square feet of stuff to make other stuff.  Metal shop, wood shop, oh and frickin’ laser beams. We are building a batch of Cupcake CNC’s, an open source 3D printer Oh and a RepRap, too, an almost entirely identical, but not quite, open source 3D printer.  He was first. This is us building it.  In theory.
